I am writing this from my couch, with a nice fluffy blanket on my legs, and a warm cup of tea next to me.
I had a fun day yesterday: I moved to my parents in the afternoon and worked from their house. This allowed me to meet my aunt and cousin who visited to bring my birthday gift.
The gift was a beautiful bracelet, which I really like. I was really happy to see them and I am lucky remote work is an option for me.
In the evening I met with my friends and we played D&D. We are almost at the end of Tomb of Annihilation.
The game ended at 2am, so naturally now I am absolutely knackered!
Thankfully, I don't have much to do today, so I will just chill on the couch and fiddle with my laptop.
The laptop itself is brand new: I got myself a Surface Laptop Go 3, for easier travel.
The form factor is incredible, and I am quite happy with it. I do know for the same money I could have gotten a more powerful, less fancy looking machine. But I needed something small and light, and that lets me do my office work and personal stuff.
I plan to dual boot Windows and Linux Mint, so I can have two completely separate environments for work and play.
At the moment though I am just using Linux via WSL. I might actually just keep it like this - not sure still!
My partner will visit tomorrow and I am very excited! We are long distance and have not seen each other for a month and a half. He will stay here for a week, to attend my birthday party with my friends, then we will go together to his place in Poland, where I will stay for a month.
This is all for today. Now I will go brew more tea, and continue copying over my scripts from my main Linux driver, so I can use them on this small laptop while I travel.
